拓展非洲市场!这家湘企有望为非洲当地十万人提供就业机会

One is a new energy vehicle that our company has independently designed, developed, and produced, and the other is a remanufactured second-hand new energy vehicle." As the fourth China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo approaches, employees of ZMEV Limited, located in Changsha, are busy preparing for the expo.

Starting from scratch, this company, which has only been engaged in foreign trade for two years, achieved overseas sales of over 2,000 new energy vehicles last year. In the first quarter of this year alone, overseas sales surged to 1,500 units, with the annual sales volume projected to exceed 7,500 units.

In recent years, with the rise of Chinese-owned brands, China has emerged as the world's largest exporter of new energy vehicles, and overseas markets such as Southeast Asia and Europe have already turned into fiercely competitive "red oceans."
近年来,随着中国自有品牌崛起,中国新能源汽车出口规模跃居世界第一,东南亚、欧洲等海外市场已然卷成一片“红海”。
ZMEV has set its sights on Africa, where competition is less intense. "Under the guidance of the Belt and Road Initiative, China-Africa relations are at their best in history. This is also the best time for us to explore the African market," said Li Xiuwei, chairman of the company. He also noted that each new energy vehicle exported by their company to Africa, especially after becoming a local ride-hailing car, can help employ at least one local driver. It is expected that the company will create employment for at least 100,000 local people in the next three years.
赞美汽车将目光瞄准竞争相对较小的非洲市场。“在共建‘一带一路’政策引导下,中非关系处于历史最好时期。这也是我们发展非洲市场最好的时期。”赞美汽车董事长李秀维表示,公司出口到非洲的每一辆新能源汽车,尤其是在成为当地的网约车后,至少能吸纳一位本地司机,预计未来三年公司将至少解决当地10万人的就业问题。

"From introducing foreign auto brands to the rise of domestic brands, China's automobile industry took nearly 40 years to achieve a leapfrog development, and this experience can be quickly replicated in Africa," said Li Xiuwei. Through four steps—establishing SKD (Semi-Knocked Down) plants, building CKD (Completely Knocked Down) plants, producing auto parts domestically, and researching and developing vehicle models independently—the company expects to establish a firm foothold in the African market within the next decade.
“从引进外国汽车品牌到民族品牌崛起,中国汽车产业用近40年时间,实现并跑、领跑,这套经验可以快速复制到非洲。”李秀维表示,通过建设SKD工厂(半散件组装)、CKD工厂(全散件组装),零部件国产化和实现自主车型研发这四步,公司预计未来10年内在非洲市场站稳脚跟。
